I Had A Thought, But Then I Lost It
A few nights ago I thought I was a genius because I came up with an idea for a buddy film in which two roommates both refuse to buy toilet paper, and this starts a war between them. So when people tell you smoking pot is without negative side effects, you can tell them this, and they will understand that they were wrong.

Acting Class Today
I really wanted to hate the one act Your Mother’s Butt based on the title, but it’s Alan Ball and also really good so…that story just ended.

I am going to start my own show with some locavores nearby.  We’re going to live in a dorm and grow our own food.  It’s called “Suite Life of Tess and Vegetarians.”

But Wait!
Ahem! Certain constituents in red wine may be able to reverse some of the damage caused by cigarettes, suggests a new study presented at the European Society of Cardiology meeting in Vienna last week. The small study found that red wine, but not its alcohol content, counteracted acute arterial dysfunction left by cigarettes. The researchers from Alexandra Hospital in Athens, Greece, reported...

Polarizing Topics
1. Blind Items I hate blind items. I picture the people who write them living in squalor, chewing on a splintering toothpick, and drinking the cheapest gin imaginable out of a dirty mug. In my mind, they work on typewriters, which is their only redeeming characteristic. 2. Sudoku Nope. But I know that the train ride goes faster for you than for I, Mr. Pencils. 3. Musical genres: metal, top 40,...

Spiritual Grubbiness
Saw Crumb last night.  Found that the Crumb bros. were at the bottom of my list of people I’d like to have over for dinner.  In particular: Maxon.  Charles, inexplicably, was my favorite; he wouldn’t wear his teeth and he seemed the most honest, the most relatable. Robert was functional, but there was something unsettling about that when I saw him in contrast to the other two (Maxon...

What Was For Dinner?
brianvan: tessipes: These Avocado Sushi My god… Alison, come over and help me make these… Anyone, really. I know a bunch of NYC food addicts read this. You have to come over and help with this sometime. I’ve got the space + tools to make them. If any of you are curious, I found this to be the easiest potsticker recipe I’ve attempted.  Making your own dough/wrappers was a pain, but...
